Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 12/16/2017

Number: 1

Weather was not as warm as I wished for butterflies but I observed one old worn monarch fluttering in a loquat tree so I opened net on cage and gave her a chance to go. She parked in nearby loquat tree and sat there for a while. I attempted to catch her and place her back in cage and wait until tomorrow as it is expected to be warmer tomorrow but she flew high into a pine tree. Not many flowers now. She seemed healthy. Hope she can make it.
