Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 12/30/2017

Number: 3

I was standing at my kitchen window and looked outside at the Loquat tree and saw something orange fly from the top of the tree. I went out to check and a Monarch flew up from the ground in front of me. The one on the ground was a female and she was sunning in a area just south of the tree where all the Butterflies sun themselves when it is a cool day. The temperature got up in the 50's today that is when I usually see them. I set up a feeding station for them. I sliced a orange and put the slices in ramqins and set up my Hummingbird feeder with sugar water. The trees are almost done blooming.
