For this last week we have had snow cover. We have had many robins in our holly tree. It is a big tree and as I checked it early this morning they had it stripped about 2/3 the way down. There were many in the tree flying in and out and also robins on the ground under the tree eating. This evening the tree looks to only have about 1/4 of the tree with berries if that. I have not noticed them clean the berries in such a manner from top down. The tree was full of berries. The robins are light red breasted unlike the ones we usually see in the winter that have a darker red breast. 25 is more than a guess because they are in constant movement and flight. Could easily be much more.
