Around Jan. 9th, about 15 showed up feeding on the ground in my yard. Then on Jan. 25th a large wave of about 30 showed up feeding on the ripe toyon berries. They stayed around in fewer numbers for the next 10 days. On February 5, another larger wave of 60 or more showed up feeding eagerly on the toyon berries again. The robins stayed in the area for a longer period of time this year than in past years.
