David Okines reports that on the evening of January 23, three Woodcocks were calling and displaying in the fields on their property in St. Williams, Ontario near the north shore of Lake Erie, east of Long Point.

Displaying males give a repeated, buzzy, nasal "peent" while on the ground between flights.
