When visibility finally returned this afternoon, we spotted 16 northbound whales; 8 from the
Point Arena Lighthouse peninsula and 8 from Saunders Reef. We also had one juvenile at the peninsula and 2 at Saunders Reef.
The greatest surprise was seeing two blue whales about 3 miles offshore of the peninsula. AMAZING!! What a privilege.
