On Saturday (3/3) I saw about 50 to 100 over a 3 hour period. Yesterday (3/4) there were still a few flying around my garden. They seem to be looking for water and food. The nectar sources that are available to them in this region now are fruit trees, huizaches, orchid trees and bougainvillea in the suburban communities. There is a fair amount of goldenrod and silver rod along the highways. I am just getting ready to go out to work in my garden. I'll let you know if I see any more.
