This Monarch chrysalis is the first chrysalis from the 16 caterpillars(larva) we are protective raising on pesticide-free milkweed, outside in my back yard in mesh containers. This chrysalis has been protected since it was an egg laid on my milkweed by a wild female Monarch (as were all other caterpillars).
