First 2018 Monarch in the garden searching for the milkweed plants. Note, our late hard freezes meant the milkweeds have died back to ground level and are only just now starting to put out leaves. Yet somehow the monarch knew where to look among all the shrubbery and plants in the garden. It was fluttering about the milkweed sprigs and alighting on them only.
