Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 03/13/2018

Number: 2

I wanted to send you a few extra photos of this delightful female monarch as she nectared on false garlic flowers (Nothoscordum bivalve). I sent a photo with my report on Monarch Adult Sighted for 3/13/18, but my experience was of her going from flower to flower many times, so seeing more examples of her agility and loveliness seems right. To me they are reminders of how much monarchs need nectar sources of all kinds, including these little flowers which are only here in early spring and fall (perfectly timed with the monarch migrations).
