Counted 36 monarchs at Grandview Prairie in the three hours we were there. Many were feeding on Rose Vervain - others were flying over different areas of the prairie. It was mostly cloudy, windy and about 63 degrees. This is the largest number of monarchs we have seen in one area this early in the season.
