Strong southerly breezes, warm temperatures, and sunny skies have the Monarchs on the move in our area. I spotted 3 faded Monarchs in 3 different areas in our neighborhood in a 30 minutes period.

The breezes are very strong so it is making nectaring a chore for these hungry Monarchs...yet they persist. One of the 3 was moving fast with the wind, darting back and forth over the terrain about 15 feet in the air.
