18 out 20 of our tulips emerged. The snow from the big storm just melted this week on our tulip bed. We don't know if they were up a few days earlier or not.
We did some other experiments. Only 1 of the 10 tulip bulbs planted upside down has emerged. None of the tulips planted in the pot have emerged. Only 5 of the 10 planted without a tunic have emerged. 7 of the 10 tulips planted only 3 inches deep had emerged 3 weeks ago before the snow storm.
