After hiking at Rosy Mound Natural area sound of Grand Haven, MI, I warmed up with a coffee sitting in my car along the Grand River channel that flows out to Lake MI... And there were the loons in the channel fishing! I confirmed that there were at least 2 Common Loons as they flew up the channel past my car. There might have been 4 loons fishing altogether, but I cannot confirm all 4.
