After 2 sunny days of reaching 50F, the tulips have emerged! I'm surprised because we still have snow piles from the driveway over 3 feet tall just 12 feet away. The east facing, next to the house microclimate has apparently warmed enough for the test tulips to emerge. Low's around 14F tonight so I shoveled snow on top of them to keep them warm tonight.
