Don Campbell reports: This afternoon I had a barn swallow over the south pond in Port Weller on the east side of the canal bank in very active flight.

Welland Canal allows shipping between Lakes Erie and Ontario, bypassing the Niagara River and Niagara Falls. Port Weller now amalgamated with the "garden city" - St. Catharines, ON.
