Sightings report image

Date: 04/02/2018

Number: 2

2 monarchs were flying around my yard, stopping to feed on my redbud trees, and checking out my patio that has potted tropical milkweed on it. My common milkweed hasn't sprouted yet in my flowerbed. They may have been attracted to the rainwater standing in the draw in the city park across the street from my garden. I couldn't tell if they were male or female. I got one blurry photo of one of them flying--right above the rain gutter above the left side of the window sunshade. I watched and waited 2 hours to catch one shot!
