Sightings report image

Date: 04/01/2018

Number: 1

This is a follow-up photo to my 4/01/2018 report (Monarch Adult Sighted). This is a photo of the male monarch I saw today who has quite damaged and thin wings. Here he is seen nectaring from milkweed flowers. Despite his tattered wings he seemed able to fly just fine. What an intrepid fellow! I could almost hear him say, "I'm okay ... what's the big fuss... just need my morning joe and I'll be on my way!"
