I have never seen a hummingbird prior to April 25 or 26.And I have lived here 32 years.

It is the male ruby throated one.

This year the one could have been the female and she was flying around at such speed she looked like muted colors and could've been more than one bird,

I quickly got my feeder out, but haven't seen them since.

We are on six acres with many things in bloom. My next door neighbor also has feeders out so sometimes they go back an forth.
