Violent thunderstorms expected tomorrow, did a walk about my yard. Outdoors: one wild chrysalis on an aluminum ladder, 2 wild fifth instar in J position on high eaves; three chrysalises from wild caterpillars my granddaughter brought in at 4th instar, and hung in Critter Keeper box for protection; 3 wild fifth instar caterpillars put into a different C.K. Box for protection; and 6 smaller caterpillars on various perennis and tuberosa plants easily visible in garden. Haven’t seen any butterflies though, not lately.
