I found a lot of whorled milkweed sprouting in the poorest, driest soil. The location is quite sunny and the soil drains quickly. I found one other plant in the same conditions, a swamp milkweed.
No sign of common milkweed or any other types of milkweed. Anything that I have planted in good to rich soil is not emerging.
