even at 12 noon it was cold (55 deg) and windy (50 mph), but this thirsty, faded female (condition 2) found the west bank of the Pecos River below Sumner Dam, 10 feet away from a known patch of horsetail milkweed, which was just starting to re-sprout. no eggs found.
