Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 04/16/2018

Number: 50

We had 10 inches of snow on April 15 with a lot of wind. The wave of robins we saw on the 16th was very active, flying in and around the yard. Many had landed in a white pine, making a lot of racket. Some were on the cement drive, drinking the melted snow. Some were scrounging around in the wood chips close to the house where the snow had already melted. Later, we noticed the robin scat on the drive, full of berry seeds. This group has moved on but we do hear several singing when the sun is out. Perhaps the weather will be kind to the birds soon.
