I observed two in the J stage and one has turned into cristalis stage and many more are very close to the J stage. Wish I could speak to one who knows a lot more than I know. Our butterfly garden is in the middle of a large area where nothing is except plant life. I put some older cats on a potted milkweed plant and moved it very close to a brick wall on end of our house. Two have climbed up the wall and turned into J and others seem to be headed up the brick wall. Should I leave them in the garden and let nature take its course or should I try to get them on potted plants next to wall and hope they complete their journey under eve of house?
