This is a wonderful 5th instar monarch caterpillar munching on his milkweed leaf this morning. It was 73 degrees F, overcast, 71% humidity ~ with soft breezes carrying heavenly fragrances from the nearby flowering trees. Today I saw multiple monarch eggs and all sizes of monarch caterpillars. A joy to see this hearty big fellow (or girl)!
