Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/26/2018

Number: 1

I was using binoculars around 7 this morning to watch a Harris sparrow eating sunflower seeds when a blurred hummingbird flew into my view! I quickly put down the binoculars in time to see a male Ruby Throated hummer drinking from my feeder. He took a couple of drinks but didn't stay. I watched as he flew north, to my honeysuckle bushes loaded with flowers. This is the first one I've seen this spring.
