Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/26/2018

Number: 1

On Thursday April 26 after dinner, I looked at my kitchen window and there he was. A beautiful male Ruby Throat at my second feeder (around 7:38 pm). He was very healthy. Great colors and full stomach. I'm thinking 1-2 years old. He went back and forth from the feeder, perching on the bush next it preening himself. What an awesome sight. This lasted till 7:55 pm and he left to find a safe place to sleep. Since he stayed late I figure he will be back in the morning to fill up again before heading north to bring joy to others.

I'm so happy they are back!!! Can't wait for my residents to arrive. Room and board is free guys, plus all the food is on the house.
