Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 04/29/2018

Number: 2

As I am working in the garden I am constantly visited by robins. Often when I am digging, a robin follows right beside me (3 feet away)looking for worms. I started pulling them out and tossing the worms, sometimes several yards away into the lawn, for the robin to eat. They always find them. They also will come very close to me and almost stare at me to send another worm.
Yesterday, I had found white grubs in some plant roots. I dug them up (about 50) and put them in a saucer for the birds. A robin was across the lawn in a bush, and when I made a throwing motion towards the tray of grubs, he immediately flew over, looked in the tray and devoured about 30 grubs.
I was wondering if anybody else experiences a buddy robin like this?
