This is a follow-up photo to my 4/27/2018 report (Monarch Adult Sighted). This is another of the faded-winged male monarchs I saw this morning. Here he is gently ensconced in the crown of a prairie plantain (Cacalia plantaginea) ~ nectaring from the tiny golden flowers. These plantains are an important nectar source for the migrating monarchs.
