This is a follow-up photo to my 4/27/2018 report (Monarch Adult Sighted). This is a beautiful male monarch nectaring from our potted butterfly bush. He is one of monarchs I saw today ~ all with varying wing colors and conditions ~ from extreme tattering to brand new fresh wings. This fellow shows fairly bright wings in the afternoon sunlight with only a few nicks to his wing edges. A lovely sight indeed!
