This is a follow-up photo to my 4/28/2018 report (Monarch Adult Sighted). This is the beautiful female monarch who I saw this afternoon nectaring on self-heal flowers (Prunella vulgaris). It is rare lately for me to see a female monarch, so it was a real treat to have her here and I'm glad she found some nutritious nectar.
