A monarch adult butterfly flew across my car window as I was driving. Luckily it got out of the way so it can continue its journey.It looked very good with perfect wings.

I can't 100 percent be sure what I saw was a monarch but the size was larger that those you listed and the color was right. I'll keep an eye out and take a photo if I have the chance. That sighting was the first butterfly I've seen to date.
