Saw many on Friday April 27th with my son when we were on a school field trip to Fighting Island along the Detroit River shoreline in LaSalle. However, this one was sighted in my backyard which is what counts for me. Every year they nest in the large culverts along Manning Road (County Road 19.) They gather insects in our yard and the adjacent fields. They used to follow my husband on the old Craftsman lawn tractor as he cut the grass. They don't seem to like the new zero turn maybe because it is faster. I enjoy watching the fledglings line up on the electricity lines learning from mom and dad in the summer. Welcome back!
