Expert birdwatcher Doug McRae reports that on May 2nd, the first ruby-throated hummingbird was spotted at Presqu'ile Provincial Park on the north shore of Lake Ontario, south of Brighton, Ontario.
This boot-shaped peninsula is nationally recognized as an important staging site during the spring and fall bird and monarch migrations.
