Expert birdwatcher Doug McRae reports that on May 2nd, the first Baltimore oriole was spotted at Presqu'ile Provincial Park on the north shore of Lake Ontario, south of Brighton, Ontario.
This boot-shaped peninsula is nationally recognized as an important staging site during the spring and fall bird and monarch migrations.
