Sightings report image

Date: 05/01/2018

Number: 1

I now have about 20+orioles, male and female. They are eating grape jelly, suet, and nectar from my hummer feeders. We have sometimes seen one or two, for a day or two each spring. We have never seen this many, nor had them stay for so long. Neighbors and friends in nearby towns are having the same experiences. Do you have an explanation? Shouldn’t they be headed East and beginning to nest?
They are beautiful and noisy and fun to watch! We feel lucky to have had them in these numbers for this length of time.
