This is a follow-up photo to my 5/04/2018 report (Monarch Adult Sighted). I realized when I reviewed my photos for this day that I had made a small error on my main report. I thought that the faded monarch mentioned was the same as I had seen the previous day, but they were indeed different individuals ~ both faded, but with different levels of tattering. They did both love nectaring from the prairie plantains and they were both near newborn monarchs. Here is a photo of the lovely, long-journeyed monarch I saw today sipping from the tiny flowers of the stately plantain.
