I was in a nearby room when I saw a shadow of my feeder AND my first hummingbird sighting projected onto a lower white cupboard of my kitchen!

By the time I looked out the window, the hummingbird was gone.

I put up the feeder a few days ago after the JNorth news that a Southern wind had pushed the hummingbirds up north sooner than expected. I think I have had visitors before today, as the sugar water in the feeder was down today.
