Robin (Nesting Behavior)

Date: 05/06/2018

Number: 2

We have a pair of robins with baby robins on the Southeast corner of our roof in a niche between the gutter and the facia. It is a nest that robins used last year. We are sure it is the same nest because we saw it last year and we didn't disturb it all winter. Don't know if it is the same pair of robins or what but this pair look pretty young. We have been observing the robins getting worms and feeding the babies from a distance. The nest is high enough that we can't see the babies though we know they are in there. Perhaps when the little ones get bigger we will be able to see them from the ground. We are very careful to not bother the nest or the parents. The
parents acknowledge our presence when we have to walk by the area to get to the back yard. They want us to know they are around.
