I'm not sure where to put this, but I had a sizeable group of orchard orioles descend into my yard to eat from feeders, drink water and bathe. It caused a giant commotion among the already established baltimore orioles.
This included a female, a full-grown male (the lovely dark chestnut body color), and a very nervous, twitchy juvenile male. For the last several days I've seen only the juvenile male, which has come to the feeders on a regular basis, and seems to be settled in here.
I've never had orchard orioles here, that I know of, and I'm not sure why they're here. But it certainly makes an even more amazing spring even better!
