Never seen a Rufous here before! I saw this one at the feeder before I even saw a Ruby !! This was the first time I have personally ever seen one good enough to identify with my Peterson's book. I have heard from other Birder's say they have seen them in my area, ( we are on the shore of lake Huron about 100 miles north of Detroit ) we seem to be in an area where we get to see many different kinds of beautiful birds. Currently (May 15) we have a flock of Indigo Buntings under the feeder !!
