Watched the first Monarch of the year fly low over our Waystation and native gardens, laying eggs as she went! It was a warm sunny day with temps in the high 80’s. The eggs I could find after she departed were primarily on common milkweed, which is around 6†tall plus. Did not find any eggs on the swamp milkweed, which is shorter and has been slower to come up this spring. What a delightful sight!!!
