When they mowed and burned our meadow at Huntington Reservation to make a new pollinator habitat, I was concerned the established milkweed would not survive, but thank goodness for those stubborn roots! It's coming up! Only one common milkweed in my garden has popped up - the other common and swamp have not appeared yet...they are in various garden spots and large containers.
