In T.J.Dolan Natural area, the same location at which I saw the first monarch last season. MW is only a couple of inches high and the female was working very hard in the wind to get into the grass to the MW. She was moving too quickly for me to photograph but through binoculars and based on how she was flying, my best guess is female.
