As reported to the Google Group Ontario Butterflies, on May 17th, expert naturalist Bob Yukich reported that he spotted 12 species of butterflies in High Park, Toronto. This included two monarchs, one of which was seen near the High Park Nature Centre. One of these monarchs, a female, was ovipositing on a 2 inch tall common milkweed sprout.
