Our tulips from last year bloomed today! However, this year's tulip test garden produced leaves and no flowers. We believe that our harsh winter may have impacted our tulips. We had an extreme winter of abundant snow! Our large pile of snow covered our tulip test garden for most of the winter. This area of our campus was one of the last area to melt. Tulip leaves have emerged but there is no sign of tulip flowers. Does deep snow impact tulip blooming time? We wonder....
