Hummingbird, Other Species Sighted

Date: 04/30/2018

Number: 2

My husband stated he saw the female Black-chinned at kitchen window feeder this am. I saw adult-male Black-chinned feeding at same feeder when I looked out the window at 6:25pm. He sat a long time drinking nectar like it was his last feeding that evening. Young Black-chinned came at 6:40pm. He only stayed 3-5 seconds. Very skittish. He looks for any movement thru the window. I try to cut off a lights inside & wear navy or black top. I seem to be more visible to them with a white top & the indoor lights on. He still has the mark on his upper chest area that I believe is where he rubbed against the nest. At 7:20pm a very skinny adult male BC came to feeder. He drank long sips of nectar-around 10 or more. Windy today with dark clouds. Wind moving feeder
