Adult male Black-chinned at kitchen feeder 6:20am. I am usually not up early in the am but had insomnia last night. Decided to watch for hummingbirds at dawn. He was right on time within 3 mins- Changing feeder's every other day when it gets in the 90's during the day & will still be in the 70's during the night. I may be changing too much but cannot leave to the 3rd day as begins to look a tad cloudy & I want my nectar super clear for my hummers. Next week temps. are suppose to soar into the triple digits all the way up to 105 degrees. It will be 2-3 degrees higher in our backyard with heated up concrete. Yikes! Spraying leaves on trees & shrubs just in case they want to do a "leaf-bath". No cloud coverage next week.
