We went walking in the same preserve as last year at this time to see a female laying eggs on common milkweed throughout the area. We collected 32 eggs and two cats about a day old. This is our 4th season raising monarchs. Last year, we released over 700! We have a good supply of milkweed and nectaring flowers in our yard. Hoping the young butterflies will stick around and lay more eggs as they did last year!
