Driving, saw a dark shape in a tree by the side of the road and knew I needed to investigate. Saw it was a perched Bald Eagle and took a few pictures through the windshield. Got out and took some more. Backed the car onto the side of the road, and took some more, reset the camera anticipating takeoff, and took some more photos. Bald Eagles are not rare here, but it is rare to get so close when the camera is ready to go.
